WHAT IS THE CABLE DISTANCE LIMITATION BETWEEEN THE PSL-20V AND THE PRO-2000? |
You can probably go about 400-feet using a Cat-5 cable - somewhat less with XLR.
The problem is the voltage drop that is experienced because of the wire resistance over a long run. However, it is possible to use our accessory PB-6, a power distribution box that boosts the power on the signal light end and extends the sparation distance between the timer and the signal light.

Is it possible to switch on/off the light of ASL4 manually? More: do you sell a stand for ASL4 in order to put it standing on the floor? Thank you |
No. This is controlled by the microprocessor. By default, the green light goes on when the clock starts and stays on as long as Time Remaining > Sum-Up time. When Time Remaining > Sum-Up time and < 0:00, the yellow light is on. At 0:00 the right light is on.

What equipment is necessary in order to use an AMX touch screen to control Limitimer? |
You need our RJ45-DB9 dongle, model TP-2000LT. This translates the binary data stream from Limitimer into a series of ASCII name-value pairs. You would use these values to create the display as well as controls on your touch panel system.
Remember, all signal lights, must be connected to the Limitimer timer console as they receive power through the Cat-5 cable.
However, you can connect the TP-2000LT dongle anywhere on the timer-signal light network.

I have a # PRO-2000 Timer w/ Wireless Transmitter and a # ASL4-ND3 Audience Signal Light. When I turn off the power to the PRO-2000 the ASL4-ND3 automatically becomes a clock and displays the time of day. I noticed it is already set to the correct time of day (EST). Is there any adjustment settings for daylight savings and standard time or is this done automatically? |
Well if you do nothing, you'll find out pretty soon. Actually, the answer is "No. The clock is not that smart. You'll have to make the time-change fix yourself.
By the way, if you have two ASL4-ND3 clocks in the same room, you should connect the output of one to the input of the other. That will guarantee that the time-of-day is the same for both clocks. (Note: It is not possible to set the exact seconds. So one clock could briefly show a different minute than the other.

Is it possible for a technician to remotely control the timer during a presentation, starting the timer when the speaker begins to talk? |
In fact the technician (or the meeting chairman) is the one who is supposed control the timer. Only the signal light is meant to go in front of the speaker.
It is possible to connect two timers to one signal light. Either can start / stop or make settings.
What makes Limitimer so effective is that the responsibility of keeping a presentation on time rests, not with the speaker, but with the meeting moderator. A speaker usually has enough to do just to deliver a compelling presentation.

Dear Sirs,
I could be interested in one of your products (speaker timer). I would be grateful if you could send me the name and contacts of one of your resellers in Italy, to whom I could ask for information.
I look forward for a prompt reply.
Many thanks.

I need to make a REX to XLR or RJ-45 adaptor cable for the ASL4-ND3. What will the pinout be? |
My signal lights are flickering on and off. The time displays clearly. |
The flickering lights are an indication of insufficient power. Either the power supply is failing or the cable between the PRO-2000 and the signal light is too long.
How do you set the clock on the ASL4-ND3? |
There are two red push buttons on the front left side of this unit. In the clock mode, simply press to select the time needed. The unit has a battery backup and will keep track of the time even after it is turned off.

Can I change the beep or blink setting to be more than a second between beep/blink? I'm looking to have it a longer period of time vs 1 second. We just installed this timer and I'm sure the
user will ask.
No. This is a property of the embedded software. However, for a small programming fee, we would be happy to customize the beep interval, or the property of any other function.
I don't want the beep to be automatic. Can I sound the beep manually? |
Yes. Hold the Beep button for approximately one second. Lift when the beep sounds. Make sure the Beep LED did not become illuminated. This means that you have engaged the auto beep. If it did become illuminated, press the beep button and release quickly.
You may continue to hold the Beep button and beep will sound every 2 seconds until you release it. |
The timer buttons are not responding? |
Check the DIP siwtches in the back. Switch 1 MUST be in the ON position (Up) unless the timer is connected to another timer for dual control operation.
How can I change the beep sound? |
The beep sound is selectable for each signal light and each timer. Make the following changes on the 10-position DIP switch to produce the desired sound:
Switch 7 |
Switch 8 |
Sound |
ON |
ON |
Buzz |
OFF |
ON |
Chime |
ON |
OFF |
Ring |
OFF |
OFF |
No sound* |
*Use this setting to produce no sound. For example, set OFF-OFF on the timer if you do NOT want a sound. Use one of the sound settings for the remote signal light. Then, press the "Beep" button. The sound will only be heard on the remote signal light. If the timer is in the same room as the signal light, we recommend that the sound be set to "No Sound" on the timer. | |
