If older cue lights have been dropped or sustained a hard bang, occasionally, the RF receiver module becomes detuned and will no longer respond to the transmitter.
If you are handy with a soldering iron, you can remove the old module by cutting the leads, sucking the solder out of the holes and replacing it with this unit.
In more than 3 years of use, we have had no reports of RF failure with the new module.
